PAF Islamabad
PAF Base Islamabad is one of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) bases located in Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan. The base is situated in the Chaklala area of Rawalpindi, adjacent to the Benazir Bhutto International Airport.
PAF Base Islamabad serves as the headquarters of the Air Force Strategic Command, which is responsible for the command and control of the PAF’s nuclear assets. The base also houses the Air Headquarters Communication Squadron, Air Defence Command, and Control Centre, and the Air Traffic Control Centre.
In addition to its strategic importance, PAF Base Islamabad also serves as a hub for air operations, logistics, and training. It houses a variety of aircraft, including fighter jets, transport planes, and helicopters, and supports a range of operational and training activities.
The base is highly secure and not open to the public, with restricted access to authorized personnel only.
